Meet Our New Coach: Jaume Sala
Barcelona Basketball Academy welcomes Coach Jaume Sala. Known for his passion, local insight, and proven success in player development, he brings valuable experience to the academy.
Barcelona Basketball Academy proudly welcomes Coach Jaume Sala — one of the most promising young coaches in Catalonia, with an impressive track record in player development and youth basketball success.
Born and raised in Badalona, the heart of Catalan basketball and home to Joventut Badalona, Jaume brings deep local knowledge and passion for the game to our academy. His journey through some of Catalonia’s most competitive clubs reflects his commitment to excellence, teamwork, and player growth.
Jaume’s coaching career began with A.E. Minguella, where he led teams to the Catalunya U-13 Championship in 2016. He later joined Joventut Badalona as part of the U14 staff, finishing as Catalunya runner-up in 2017. Between 2018 and 2023, he guided Maresme 3 Viles U16 and U18 teams to remarkable results, including a 3rd place finish in Catalunya U16 (2019).
In 2023, Jaume was appointed Head Coach of A.E. Minguella’s Senior and U10 teams, achieving extraordinary results:

● 🥇 Catalunya Champion 2025
● 🚀 Promotion to Supercopa
● 👶 Catalunya and Spanish Champion with U10
That same year, he became Head Coach of the FCBQ PDP program and founded Campus 3+TU, a project focused on elite basketball development and education.
In 2025, Jaume joined Joventut Badalona once again — this time as Assistant Coach for the U22 and U18 teams, continuing his growth among the best in Spain.
Beyond team coaching, Jaume works as a Personal Trainer for 1ª FEB players, helping professional athletes refine their physical and technical skills during the summer seasons.
With his unique combination of youth success, technical precision, and motivational energy, Jaume embodies the vision and values of Barcelona Basketball Academy — preparing the next generation of players to compete at the highest level.
