A Perfect Week in J30 Zaragoza: Titles in Singles and Doubles for Our Academy Players

Great success for our academy in the J30 Zaragoza tournament, played on clay during the last week of April.

It has been an outstanding week for our academy at the J30 Zaragoza tournament, held from April 20–26, 2026, on clay courts in Spain. Our players delivered exceptional performances across both singles and doubles, highlighting their hard work, resilience, and growing presence on the international junior circuit.

The standout story of the week belongs to Matilde Cabrera Burns, who achieved an impressive double triumph. She captured the singles title with a dominant run through the draw, showing consistency, tactical maturity, and composure in key moments. In the final, she sealed the championship in straight sets, confirming her status as one of the strongest players in the field.

Matilde didn’t stop there. Teaming up with fellow academy player Andreea Kurta, the pair went on to win the doubles title as well. Their partnership proved to be a perfect combination of chemistry, aggressive play, and smart positioning. From the quarterfinals onward, they raised their level match by match, culminating in a convincing victory in the final where they controlled the match from start to finish.

This double success reflects not only individual quality but also the strength of our training environment, where players are encouraged to compete, support each other, and grow together.

Overall, it has been a fantastic and rewarding week for our academy. Performances like these are the result of continuous effort on and off the court, and they give us great confidence for the tournaments ahead. We are proud of Matilde and Andreea, and we look forward to seeing them build on this momentum in the coming weeks.

Congratulations to both players on an exceptional achievement!
